With the T5V, Adam Audio presents a near-field monitor which, thanks to its compact size and technical specifications, is ideally suited for use in small control rooms, for home recording, video post-production, broadcasting applications or simply for listening to music on a PC. The active speaker features a bevelled cabinet design, a rear- bass reflex port, DSP-controlled crossovers and equaliser, as well as analogue connection options (XLR/RCA).
Its wide frequency response, wide dynamic range, excellent transient response, wide sweet spot and compact footprint make it an excellent choice for users looking for a small, professional-grade studio monitor.
For those requiring even more deep bass: the T5V is compatible with the ADAM Sub7 and Sub8 subwoofers.
Adam Audio T5VThese monitors are way better than expected.
Having given up music production a few years back, I am currently getting a few entry level bits together to rise me over while I try and get back into it.
I went with the Adam's as I had read the high and mid frequency were good. I can confirm this is the case for such an entry level monitor. I had previously used RP6 (G2) and these blow those out of the water fro the higher frequencies. Low end is a lot weaker but I wasnt expecting much from a 5" driver.
Overall I am happy I went with these over some KRKs, Mackies or even Yamaha
