With the Blackstar St. James 50 6L6 Combo, the amplifier specialists from Northampton present an innovative tube combo for electric guitar, which combines a pleasingly low Gewicht of just 12.8 kg with extensive features for stage and recording studio. Based on an innovative circuit that combines classic tube technology with a modern switching power supply, the guitar amp delivers a variety of sounds between glassy vintage cleans and modern high-gain distortion. In addition to the option to reduce the power amp output, the St. James 50 6L6 comes with a Celestion Zephyr speaker for powerful sounds, while the integrated Reactive Load and the Cab Rig speaker simulation allow silent recording or silent stage performances. furthermore, a reverb effect, an FX loop and an integrated USB audio interface complete the features of the St. James 50 6L6 guitar amplifier from Blackstar.

With its two-channel ECC83 preamp, the St. James 50 6L6 Combo turns out to be a first-class all-rounder for almost any style. While Channel I is clearly oriented towards Californian amps of the sixties and delivers glassy clean sounds with high effect pedal compatibility, the modern high-gain voicing of Channel II promises a juicy distortion and tight Distortion for rock and metal. In addition to the voicing switch that gives Channel II a looser tone character, the St. James 50 6L6 comes with a 3-band tone control to customize the guitar sound and a harmonically tuned reverb effect.

The power amp of the Blackstar St. James 50 6L6 works naturally with two of the name-giving 6L6 tubes and delivers 50 watts of power with a round, American sound character, which promises sufficient volume reserves for rehearsals and smaller gigs. The SAG mode provides a clear compression and a softer feel. To use the amp at home, the power can also be reduced to a neighborly two wat ts. The Celestion G12Z-70 Zephyr speaker, which was specially developed for the St. James series, also turns out to be a sonic highlight, not only promising a powerful sound with ideal tuning to the amp, but also contributing significantly to its low Gewicht.

To ensure that the St. James 50 Combo can be used for silent recording or contemporary silent stage environments, Blackstar equips it with a Reactive Load resistor and high-caliber speaker simulation.
