The BlueBox from 1010 Music is a compact digital mixer with up to 12 analogue inputs, effects, MIDI control and a recording function. Measuring just 14 x 13 x 5 cm, the unit features six stereo inputs which can also be used in dual-mono mode as required. This provides up to twelve mono audio inputs. In terms of signal level, the inputs handle both line and Eurorack levels. Alongside a number of buttons and four encoders, the 3.5” touchscreen serves as the central control element. For each channel, you can adjust volume, gain, a 4-band parametric EQ, pan, mute, solo and the internal effects sends.

Effects

When it comes to effects, the 1010 Music already enjoys a strong reputation within the Eurorack modular community, as its internal master effects – delay , reverb and compressor – are of a very high standard. Selected tracks are recorded individually onto the microSD card, along with effect and routing settings. The maximum recording time depends on the capacity of the storage medium. Once recording is complete, you can simply drag the tracks from the memory card into your DAW as required and edit them there. The 1010 Music BlueBox is ideal for small studios, live jam sessions, and for mixing and recording live sessions. As the digital mixer can also be powered by a power bank, there’s nothing to stop you heading out into the countryside with the BlueBox, a pair of headphones and a few battery-powered instruments.
