StageConnect Interface Bridge: connects StageConnect systems with 32-channel USB audio I/O and Behringer Ultranet I/O
3-way bridge for flexible setups: StageConnect ↔ USB Multichannel ↔ Ultranet (e.g. P16 systems)
32 channels bidirectional for simultaneous transmission and reception of multi-channel audio
StageConnect audio transmission with sub-millisecond latency at 44.1/48 kHz and 24 bit
Use of standard 3-pin XLR DMX or microphone cables for StageConnect connections
Asynchronous 32-channel sample rate conversion for communication between systems with different word clocks/sampling rates
Sample rate conversion with 0.4 ms latency and 140 dB dynamic range
MIDI transmission from the USB host computer to the StageConnect bus (e.g. for show control/playback setups)
Host connector for multichannel audio connections to other StageConnect devices
Client connector for daisy-chaining multiple devices in the StageConnect network
Compact, robust housing in DI box format - ideal for stage and rack environments
External DC power supply unit including for reliable power supply
The Behringer SC-U is the compact control center if you want to connect StageConnect, multi-channel recording on the computer and Ultranet monitoring in everyday live and event situations. As a 3-way bridge, it couples StageConnect systems with 32-channel USB audio in/out and Behringer Ultranet in/out - ideal for combining a playback/recording setup with Ultranet personal monitoring (e.g. P16) in a continuous signal flow. The whole thing remains practical: StageConnect runs via normal 3-pin XLR DMX or microphone cable and transmits 32 channels bidirectionally with sub-millisecond latency at 44.1/48 kHz and 24 bit.
For maximum operational reliability in heterogeneous setups, the SC-U features asynchronous 32-channel sample rate conversion so that systems with different word clocks and sample rates can communicate reliably with each other - with just 0.4 ms latency and 140 dB dynamic range. In addition, MIDI data can be transferred from the USB host computer to the StageConnect bus, making it particularly interesting for modern show rigs with DAW playback, cues and control data. The host connector allows you to connect additional StageConnect devices for multichannel audio, while the client connector enables daisy-chaining of multiple devices. The concept is rounded off by a robust DI box format for touring-ready setups; an external DC power supply is already included in the scope of delivery.
