More than 40 years of experience in live sound, recording and design are reflected in this award-winning microphone preamplifier. As you would expect from MIDAS products, the components have been selected using high-quality materials to not only create warmth, depth and precision in the sound, but also to inspire. This is also the reason why MIDAS PRO microphone preamps are used worldwide and efficiently contribute to more than just good results.

To prevent signal degradation and ensure professional operation, MIDAS engineers opted for 8 balanced line outputs with a low impedance. Users can work with balanced and unbalanced signals and are therefore happy to do without noise and crosstalk interference. In addition, the DL8 with its dual Cirrus Logic D/A converter ensures low noise floor and low distortion.

The POWERPLAY P16 system allows artists to connect to the DL8's ULTRANET port and create their own monitor mix. This offers freedom and the opportunity to concentrate better on performing. Further connection options are the dual AES50 ports. The latter allow the use of several DL8 microphone amplifiers simultaneously. This is achieved with very low latency, accurate clocking, error detection and, above all, simple operation so that work can continue as quickly as possible.

The amplifier is programmable on the front panel, but offers the possibility of communication between stage and FOH with just a single CAT5/5e cable. Settings such as eg. Gain, 48V phantom power and input monitoring at a distance of up to 100m.
