The elysia xpressor|neo is an exceptionally versatile stereo compressor that combines high-end sound quality with a wide range of advanced control options. Drawing on features from elysia’s flagship models, it delivers precise, musical compression along with extensive creative flexibility. In Auto Fast mode, the attack time automatically shortens to capture sharp, transient peaks with precision. The release time can be switched between linear and logarithmic characteristics, allowing fine control over the compressor’s response. Additional modern features include parallel compression and a wide-range sidechain filter, both of which expand its tonal versatility. Two innovative functions — the Gain Reduction Limiter and negative ratios — are exclusive to elysia designs. Used together, they enable extreme and highly expressive compression effects, making the xpressor|neo equally suitable for transparent mastering applications and creative sound design.
In the detector path, an additional compression stage limits the compressor’s control voltage. This makes it possible to restrict the amount of gain reduction to a precisely adjustable value in decibels.
