ART DJ Pre II at a Glance

The ART DJ Pre II is a high-quality MM phono preamplifier that serves as an interface between a turntable and an audio workstation, sound card, hi-fi system, or monitor setup. Thanks to its integrated, low-noise preamplifier designed to RIAA standards, it ensures a high level of precision in vinyl playback. To optimise compatibility with different cartridges, the analogue input capacitance can be selected between 100 pF and 200 pF. A switchable low-cut filter effectively reduces unwanted rumble without compromising sound quality. The front-mounted, continuously adjustable level control with signal and overload indicators allows for precise gain adjustment tailored to the specific turntable in use. The low-impedance line outputs ensure seamless connection to any sound card. With a maximum gain of 45 dB, a frequency range of 10 Hz to 50 kHz (±0.5 dB), and a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 90 dB, the DJ Pre II delivers outstanding signal quality. The distortion rate remains exceptionally low at just 0.001% (at 1 kHz). Housed in a black anodised aluminium casing, the unit features two RCA input and output connections. Power supply options are highly flexible, supporting 7–12 V DC or 9–12 V AC (150 mA). With its versatile connectivity and exceptional audio performance, the ART DJ Pre II is the perfect solution for DJs, vinyl enthusiasts, and professional audio applications.
