The Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut combines classic Gibson charm with that little bit of extra versatility. Since its introduction at the end of the 1950s as a further development of the Les Paul Junior, it has offered the characteristic Mix of raw Vintage-Sound and dynamic expressiveness thanks to its two Soapbar P-90 pickups. The reissue for 2025 remains true to this tradition and combines authentic design with modern manufacturing quality. Its mahogany body with double cutaway ensures excellent balance and comfortable access to all 22 frets, while the mahogany neck with SlimTaper profile provides a smooth playing feel. The rosewood fingerboard with acrylic dot inlays gives the guitar its classic look with a sophisticated understatement. In terms of sound, the Les Paul Special Double Cut is a real all-rounder: the two P-90 single coils deliver powerful mids, warm cleans and the characteristically open Gibson tone, which ranges from vintage blues to modern rock. Thanks to the separate volume and tone controls for each pickup, the sound can be tuned versatilely and offers enormous flexibility on stage or in the studio. The instrument is rounded off by the hand-wired electronics with Orange drop capacitors, which perfectly accentuate the lively character of this classic Les Paul version.
