The Ortega RCE138SN 6-String Electro Classical Guitar is a high-quality nylon string classical guitar with a versatile Magus Pro pickup system for exceptional amplified tone. Expertly crafted from solid spruce, mahogany and rosewood, this competitively priced classical guitar is ideal for both soloists and ensemble players alike.
SN stands to describe a slim neck we use on our "SN" guitars. Comparing to a traditional 52mm width nut Ortega use a 48mm width nut on their SN models. This gives a more comfortable feeling while playing and also is perfect for players with smaller hands and shorter fingers.
The starting point for this modern company was the crafting of guitars following classical Spanish manufacturing techniques. Ortega RCE138SN Slim Neck NaturalI bought now my first classical guitar after playing my different steel string guitars. I didn't want to sacrifice quality over price. This guitar looks good for the money.
After steel string guitars narrow neck I liked to choose more narrower then normal 52 mm neck. Ortega's 48 mm slim neck helps me to accommodate to classical. And this hybrid is beautifully made with a stunning warm sound.
Inbuilt tuner is easy to use and works well and very precisly.
Only flaw was that guitar's action was way too high. I lowered the saddle for nearly 2 mm lower and now the action is better.
The installed Savarez strings does'nt feel very good quality.
Therefor I'm still going to switch to D'Addario EJ45 strings and at the same time bone saddle. Hope that this makes this guitar feel like much more expensive and even more fine for its price.
Overall, I am satisfied with this reasonably priced guitar.
