Rode NT-SF1

The Rode NT1-SF is a professional ambisonic microphone that operates with 4x ultra low-noise real condenser capsules in a tetrahedron arrangement giving an almost linear frequency response. The Rode NT1-SF is suitable for professional 360° recordings, 3D audio, immersive audio, VR sound and audio recordings for virtual reality projects.

Thanks to the newly developed ½" TF45-C cardioid capsules, the NT1-SF offers a sensitivity of 30mV with a minimum inherent noise of 15dBA. The tetrahedron arrangement of the capsules allows 3D audio recordings for virtual reality projects to be created without great effort.

In post-production, the directional angle, position and rotation of the microphone can be subsequently edited. This makes it easy to create 7.1.4 surround mixes or 360° soundscapes. The free Soundfield by Rode plug-in is available for easy editing, with which the recording signal can be converted in many ways (B-Format, mono, stereo, 5.1, 7.1, 7.1.2, 5.1.4 or 7.1.4).
