Warm Audio BUS-COMP

With the Warm Audio Bus-Comp, Warm Audio presents its version of the much-loved SSL bus compressor, whose design has been reproduced using only high-quality analog components and chips. Just like the original, the Bus-Comp is ideal for blending stereo buzz, busses and microphone tracks during mixing and mastering and features a larger number of selectable compression ratios, a switchable side chain and a switchable side chain high-pass filter. Instead, the fade-out function, which is particularly popular for mastering, has been omitted.

With switches for the side chain, bypass and output transformer functions, the Bus-Comp allows for very comfortable working without having to plug in a new one and a quick A/B comparison. The output transformers of the Warm Audio Bus-Comp are noble models from the American manufacturer Cinemag, which contribute to the pleasant and unobtrusive basic sound of the VCA circuitry with a lot of analog fat and a somewhat tighter bass range.
