Mytek Brooklyn DAC+When I received the DAC my first reaction was « is it possible that such a little device can sound wonderfully ».
I linked the DAC to my Rupert Neve RNHP headphone amp and after a few days of use with my Audeze LCD-X
I was amazed by the soundstage and details coming out of it. I had another DAC before the Mytek and so I could compare and can say that the Mytek let me discover micro-details I never heard before. For instance, in the jazz record of Monty Alexander - Live at the Montreux Festival, you can hear applauses from the public, but the Mytek let me also hear individuals saying « yeah » from time to time during the session and this I didn’t hear with my former DAC. The sound is very natural and from bass to treble everything is consistent. Soundstage is amazing and you immediately knows where all the instruments are placed. I got a subscription to Tidal and so I’m discovering a new world with the Mytek. I can without hesitation recommend the Mytek Brooklyn DAC+.
