Il Warm Audio WA76 è la moderna ristampa del classico 1176 nella revisione D. Warm Audio ha posto grande enfasi sul mantenere il progetto il più originale possibile. Così vengono utilizzati i trasformatori Reichenbach (oggi CineMag), già utilizzati nella versione originale Urei. Naturalmente, il dispositivo ha gli stessi tempi di attacco estremamente veloci e anche la leggendaria modalità "All Button". Warm Audio sono ancora una volta riusciti a portare un dispositivo di alta qualità sul mercato ad un prezzo sensazionale.
This compressor comes close to the lush sound and feeling of a vintage 1176 unit at a fraction of the cost. Of course nowadays there are lots of emulation plugins and they cost less, but it's not the same thing as working with a hardware unit: the nuances of the sound, the feel of the knobs and buttons, the responsiveness of the meter... All in all, it's a completely different experience. Such a real pleasure to use, that the only drawback is that you'd want to use it on everything, even where compression is not needed! (As a matter of fact, even with zero compression applied, just passing the signal through this unit makes it sound better - because of the transformers and discrete circuit that give "tone")
