The Istanbul CTS19 Sultan Thin Crash Cymbal 18" is an 18" crash cymbal with a thin gauge, and made of hand hammered B20 bronze, that is lathed but untreated. Sultan Series cymbals combine the brilliance of the Traditional Series with the dry and woody sound of the Turk Series. The unlathed bell produces a strong and compact sound. The unlathed bow-part reduces overtones and shortens the sustain. The bottom of the cymbal is completely untreated. The result is a mellow sound with great stick definition and controlled overtones.
