With the Martin Guitars 000-15SM 12-fret, the manufacturer enriches its high-quality range with an instrument whose body is made entirely of mahogany and thus produces a unique sound that unfolds warmly and comprehensively in the midrange frequencies and stands out distinctly authentically with blues pickings. Due to its all solid construction, this dark beauty boasts a very fast attack, which is further enhanced by a thin satin finish and X-bracing. A flat mahogany neck, which merges into the body at the 12th fret, offers the player extremely comfortable access to all 20 frets, which are set into a noble rosewood fingerboard. The open headstock is equipped with precise Golden Age Bright Nickel side-mount tuners which, in combination with a bridge saddle and a 44.5 mm wide nut made of fine bone material, guarantee clean tuning and perfect intonation over the entire scale length of 645 mm. Other highlights of the 000-15SM, in addition to its unusual design and perfectly matched appearance, are the script old-style overlay on the headstock and the fine diamonds-and-squares inlays made of high-quality abalone.
