The innovative design of the Sterling Majesty X 7 was developed in close cooperation with John Petrucci and convinces with an incomparably high playing comfort. The mahogany body is not only extremely stable when sitting on the thigh, but also takes up a perfectly balanced position on the strap. Furthermore, the wide cutaways expose the entire mahogany neck, allowing unhindered access to all layers of the rosewood fingerboard. The flat "D" profile can be played furthermore with playful ease.

Humbucker and active boost

As a John Petrucci Signature electric guitar, the Sterling by Music Man Majesty X 7 naturally delivers brute metal sounds at the amplifier, but also shows its soft string in the clean channel. Thus, the Sterling by Music Man humbuckers installed in neck and bridge position convince with a well-dosed Output and a harmonically balanced reproduction, which allows solo lines to sing with endless Sustain, while riffs are presented with tight definition. Clean played chords and melodies are also presented with first-class string separation. Furthermore, the SBMM Majesty offers an active boost, which is activated via the push/push volume pot and boosts the signal and 12 dB for additional volume and gain reserves.

In addition, the Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci MAJ170X Majesty X 7 is equipped with high-quality Hardware that provides high functionality for unrestricted playing pleasure. The bridge is equipped with the SBMM Modern Tremolo, which is mounted on two pins and convinces with a smooth handling. Due to the undercutting, both up and down bendings are possible without any problems. From the bridge the strings are guided with the classic 25.5" scale length (648 mm) towards the headstock, where SBMM Locking tuners in typical 5+2 arrangement promise a robust tuning even with frequent use of the whammy bar.
