Features and construction

Inside, the Austrian Audio Hi-X55 circumaural headphones score high with 44mm Hi-X drivers designed from the ground up with a proprietary ring magnet system that has been used in many award-winning Austrian Audio headphones in the past. High Excursion technology allows for improved airflow as well as the strongest magnetic field in its class. This system, combined with a copper-clad aluminum voice coil, reduces the weight of the diaphragm and voice coil sitting on top of it, allowing for faster movement and directional changes. In short, the result is greatly improved peak impulse handling, ideal for modern as well as traditional music production. Added to this is a specially developed double acoustic wall, which ensures the best damping results.

Wearing comfort

The ear pads of the Austrian Audio Hi-X55 have been completely redesigned to allow more room for the ears without having to enlarge the ear cups. Rapid signs of fatigue during long recording or listening sessions are now a thing of the past with these studio headphones.
