Carl Martin Classic Opto-Compressor

The compact Classic Opto-Comp by Danish effects specialist Carl Martin comes from a flash of inspiration from the company founder, who wanted a classic, opto-electronic compressor in a compact effect pedal format for guitarists when recording in the studio. Like its great models from the studio, the Classic Opto-Comp is also based on a combination of photocell and light source, which gives the sound its characteristic warm Old School colouring. With the controls for Gain, Attack and Comp the response and the character of the compression can be precisely adjusted.

The Carl Martin Classic Opto-Comp can be operated with batteries, but due to its high power consumption we recommend the use of an optionally available 9V power supply.
