FabFilter One is a software plugin with special analog and warm sounding cut-off filter features. Even with high resonance settings, One does not sound "digital", but convinces with a typically warm sound of well-known synthesizers. The filter is powered by an equally high-quality, fixed-sounding oscillator that has been redesigned from the ground up, operates completely aliasing-free, and offers sawtooth, triangle, and square waveforms with pulse-width modulation. The oscillator and the filter can be modulated by the LFO and the EG. The LFO offers triangle and rectangular waveforms with adjustable wave balance, so that each waveform can be selected between sawtooth and triangle. The tempo can of course be synchronized with the host. In addition to the usual ADSR controls of the envelope generator, an additional hold feature is also on board to ensure even more flexibility.
What sets FabFilter One apart is the attention to detail and fine-tuning visible throughout the plug-in. For example, the Portamento function not only slides from one note to another, but uses a carefully selected algorithm to make your game more vibrant and give it just a little more magic.
Smart Parameter Interpolation processes changes to all FabFilter One parameters to ensure responsiveness and smooth transitions. There are no annoying digital clicks and "zipper" effects, and even MIDI controller changes are handled perfectly.
Of course, the FabFilter One plug-in processes all parameter changes with sample accuracy and can be used at any sample rate. All parameters can be fully automated within your preferred host and via MIDI Learn. The included help file describes all functions of FabFilter One in detail, together with overviews and tutorials for creating different types of sounds.
