The Fender Redondo Player Surf Green produces a powerful and warm sound even with light strumming. The acoustic guitar from the Fender California series is excellent for vocal accompaniment. In addition to its charming sound characteristics, the instrument convinces with a comfortable playability and not least with its tasteful exterior. Moreover, thanks to a pickup with a side preamp, the dreadnought can be connected to an amplifier and individually tuned to it. The highlights of the guitar are undoubtedly the characteristic electric guitar headstock and the multi-layered, golden pickguard.

Construction and woods

The construction of the Redondo Player consists of a solid Sitka spruce top and a laminated body made of mahogany, which together produce a defined and at the same time full-coverage sound. With the help of a flat Scalloped-X bracing, every note is produced with a fast response, allowing beginners as well as advanced players to effortlessly achieve maximum sound results. At the same time, the flat mahogany neck with a slim-taper 'C' profile guarantees easy gripping of all 20 frets. And for ideal access to the walnut fingerboard, the body is equipped with a generous cutaway.

Hardware and design

To ensure that the guitar intonates cleanly throughout the 650 mm scale length, the 43 mm wide nut and compensated saddle are made of GraphTech Nubone. The headstock is equipped with sealed-nickel tuners that ensure user-friendly tuning of the 6 steel strings. With its custom look and eye-catching Surf Green finish, the instrument embodies the signature Fender vibe that has been popular with musicians around the world for decades.

Electronics

To realize the acoustic sound image even amplified, the guitar is equipped with a Fishman pickup system. The bass and treble frequencies can be premixed via a side preamp. Another handy tool is the integrated tuner, which shows the respective pitch via a large LED display. The active system is powered by a 9V block battery.
