Quartersawn Maple Speed Neck & Mahogany Body Wings

The basic construction of the Jackson Custom Shop Randy Rhoads RR1 follows the traditional recipe and is based on a resonant continuous neck with glued-on mahogany wings. The neck is made of radial cut maple and combines outstanding stability with best resonance characteristics. Of course, the famous slim Speed Neck profile gives the classic Jackson feeling from headstock to neck and is the ideal basis for advanced lead techniques. Last but not least, the construction of the Rhoads is completed with a visually appealing top made of high-contrast grained maple.

Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz & TB-4 JB

On the Jackson Custom Shop Randy Rhoads RR1 a very popular pickup combination combines a SH-2n Jazz on the neck and a TB-4 JB Trembucker on the bridge. Accordingly, the neck position produces warm and vocal sounds for singing leads and wide clean lines, while the Trembucker in bridge position provides clear and direct sounds and stays clear and articulate especially when played in high gain. Both pickups are controlled by an adapted electronic layout with two separate tone controls for both pickups, while the master volume sets the overall output of the Jackson Custom Shop RR1 Randy Rhoads.

Floyd Rose Original Tremolo & Schaller Hardware

For fans of expressive leads and shredders with high technical demands the Jackson Custom Shop offers an original Floyd Rose Double-Locking Tremolo. The tremolo system is made in the USA and allows a wide range of playing techniques from Squeals to Dive Bombs and always remains tuning stable thanks to the matching locking saddle. The tremolo recess has been undercut in order to provide sufficient leverage in both directions while maintaining an ideal string action. In addition, the Randy Rhoads RR1 uses solid hardware from Schaller in the form of M6 tuners with locking function and Schaller S-Locks for safe performances on stage.
