With the Mayones Patriot 5 VF Antique Black the premium bass manufacturer from Gdansk presents its successful model in trendy multiscale construction with V-Frets and top-class equipment. Made in elaborate neck-through construction, the bass guitar comes with carefully selected tonewoods, while Aguilar pickups and a Darkglass electronics take over the sound conversion. Indestructible single saddle bridges and Schaller tuners complete the Patriot 5 V-Fret by Mayones.

Multiscale Neck-Through Bass

In addition to the sustain-strong neck-through construction, Mayones uses the multiscale construction for the Patriot 5 VF. Each of the strings has the optimal scale length for its tuning, rising from 34" at the G to 37" at the B, guaranteeing a particularly precise sound. While the full-length, five-piece D neck made of wenge and Purpleheart offers great playability, the wenge-trimmed maple top on the swamp ash body produces a dignified look.

Aguilar pickups, Darkglass electronics

For the pickup of the Patriot V-Fret Mayones chooses two Aguilar DCB Soapbars. With two ceramic blade magnets, the humbuckers deliver a full tone that brings out every fine detail in playing technique and instrument character. To customize the bass sound, the popular Darkglass Tone Capsule is also on board. As an active 3-band tone control with controls for bass as well as low and high mids, the electronics allow the particularly precise adjustment of the character-shaping frequency ranges.

Indestructible hardware equipment

Of course, the Patriot 5 V Antique Black is rounded off by hardware that is appropriate for the noble bass character. Five Mayones Single Saddle bridges not only ensure optimal adjustment of intonation and string action but also support the differentiated sound of the five-string bass guitar. Behind the ebony nut, Schaller M4 tuners guarantee precise tuning with unshakable stability. In addition, Schaller S-Locks keep the bass securely on the strap even during lively shows.
