The Music Man Axis Trans Gold Quilt is a classically designed premium shredding axe with first-class rock sound and agile handling. While the Music Man Axis's light linden body takes up a well-balanced playing position on both the strap and the thigh, the strikingly vividly figured quilted maple top makes for a breathtaking look. The five-point bolt-on maple neck offers optimal playing characteristics thanks to its asymmetrical "C" profile and pleasant wax-oil finish, so that every solo or riff seems to play by itself. Two DiMarzio custom pickups screwed directly into the body of the instrument using the direct-mount method also ensure a first-class rock sound, with well-dosed mids showing clear edges in terms of assertiveness and sound definition. Naturally, a Floyd Rose Music Man double-locking tremolo completes the Music Man Axis equipment, so that there are no limits to unrestrained use of the Whammy-Bar.
