PDP Shell Set from the Concept Maple Series with Remo Heads

The PDP Concept Maple CM6 Shell Set Satin Tobacco Burst is a professional six-piece drum set including snare drum. The shells are made of 100% maple and produce a warm and resonant sound that can be used in many modern music styles. High quality shell hardware such as eg. True Pitch tensioning screws, dual turret tensioning lugs and triple flanged steel tensioning hoops round out the shells. The suspension tom mount, thanks to which the tom toms can swing freely, and the cast tensioning claws for the bass drum also meet professional demands. Equipped with Remo heads and a snare carpet made of Kuper, the PDP CM series offers excellent professional features and a modern appearance.

The name Concept Maple already gives it away: All shells are made entirely of maple and feature seven plies of the popular tonewood. For the snare even ten layers are used, and the snare also features the MAG Throw Off Snare lift-off known from DW. The individual shell sizes were selected according to the F.A.S.T. system (Fundamentally Accurate Sized Toms) for maximum resonance. This is supported by another concept already known from DW, the "Graduated Counter Hoops". Here the diameter of the hoop is adapted to the size of the shell.

Specifically, this means that the thickness of the hoops is adjusted to the respective tom size, so smaller toms are not unnecessarily constricted while larger kettles get the robust hoop they need. In this set there are 1.5 mm hoops on the tom toms, a 2.0 mm hoop on the floor tom and the snare even gets a 2.5 mm hoop.
