The DW PDP Concept Maple CM7 in Satin Tobacco Burst is a professional 7-piece shell set including Snare drum. The shells are 100% maple and produce a warm and resonant sound that can be used in many modern musical styles. High-quality shell hardware such as True Pitch tuning rods, Dual Turret lugs and triple flanged steel hoops round off the shells. In combination with the suspension Tom Mount directly from DW's hardware catalog, thanks to which the Tom Toms can resonate freely and the cast iron claws for the 22" bass drum, professional demands are also met.
The name "Concept Maple" already reveals: all shells are made entirely of maple and feature seven layers of the popular wood. For the production of the Snare, ten layers are used, as well as the MAG Throw Off known from DW. The individual shell sizes were selected according to the F.A.S.T. system (Fundamentally Accurate Sized Toms) for maximum resonance. This is supported by another concept already known from DW, the "Graduated Counter Hoops". In concrete terms, this means that the thickness of the hoop is matched to the respective tom size, so smaller toms are not unnecessarily constricted while larger shells get the robust hoops they need. In this set you will find 1.5mm hoops on the Tom Toms and Snare, 2.0mm hoops on the Floor Toms and even a 2.5mm thick hoop.
