The PSI Audio Active A14M Studio Red are the smallest monitors in the program of PSI Audio, but score with the same sophisticated technologies as their larger counterparts: Each of the completely analog-powered speakers is calibrated in a test room, so that a linear frequency response can be guaranteed over the entire playback spectrum, an active phase correction system and automatic impedance matching ensure a spatial stereo image and the lowest possible cancellations. When choosing the power amplifier type, PSI opted for a Class G/H amplifier. These systems operate particularly efficiently and, above all, with extremely low distortion, in which they resemble the better-known Class A/B amplifiers from which they are derived. These tuning measures made it possible to completely dispense with DSP control. Because of these features, monitors from PSI Audio have earned an excellent reputation in the audio world.
