The Roland SP-404A is a Linear Wave Sampler, which was based on the popular SP-404SX. It contains all the functions and features of its predecessor, including the characteristic linear 16-bit sampling, 29x internal DSP effects, smooth effect changes and 12x professional performance pads.
The SP-404A comes with 9x sound banks with premium samples, which make it possible to start sample looping immediately. The integrated SD card also includes a new sound library from industry leader, Loopmasters. Additional samples can be integrated via the SD card slot, which supports SDHC cards up to 32GB in size. Specially designed software imports the audio files in .wav or AIFF format and assigns them to the pads of the SP-404A.
This model offers an integrated microphone and the optional operation via the power supply or 6x AA batteries to allow recordings to be made at anytime, anywhere. The line inputs can be used to sample directly from a mixer or other external device. The microphone input allows you to sample via an external microphone. Thanks to storage in uncompressed WAV format, the samples always sound great.
