Crimson Revision 2 - an already reliable and loved Interface goes into the second round !
New components and PCB gives you an even better Sound and Performance as its trusted predecessor.
Crimson combines an audio interface with high-quality preamps and a fully-featured monitor controller. You can play and play back, record and convert, control and listen with one single device.
So all you essentially need for a professional recording start-up is the Crimson and a DAW.
The SPL Electronics Crimson R2 white is a USB audio interface and monitor controller featuring a 24-bit/192kHz converter with a maximum six recording and six playback channels.
The Crimson is a combination of both an audio interface with high-quality preamps and a fully-featured monitor controller. This device allows you to play and playback, record and convert, control and listen, all in one. To setup, you simply need a digital audio workstation to start making professional recordings.
This R2 model is the second revision of this unique device featuring a range of quality improvements. This includes monitoring of a digital input now being available in stand-alone mode so that no DAW is required, Artist Mode being able to be disabled via a dip switch if SPK B is used for a second pair of speakers, and improved gain matching is now available with a new level range dip switch. Other improvements include an enhanced Mic Gain potentiometer range and improved mic inputs overvoltage protection.
Features
SPL Crimson R2 whiteSPL Crimson is a really good quality audio interface and undoubtedly diserve to higher attention for all professionals who need a such very product! The first thing is well made materials - metal construction that looks like a tank! Visually, that's very solid box with quite good buttons. As for the features, the box allows to create almost everything that wanted as a pro as a just beginners. It's not make sense to write down all features that it has owned. The sound is warm and an analog on the whole and it's really low latency. In my case, installed by PC very fast without any hard manipulation's. It's really worth any penny to deal with it. I switched on them my new Dynaudio that now sounds good for all spectrum. As for cons, there is no feature to switch on two sets of monitors at the same time together; the box doesn't include any USB cable and the last tiny thing is that when touch the interface not the buttons, there are fingerprints appears down over there. I'd strongly recommend it all people who need a high quality audio interface.
