"As far as drums are concerned, the 1960s represent an era of extremely progressive musical thinking. In my opinion, this special decade is undoubtedly the birth of the modern pop/rock drummer.Suddenly the drums were expected to do more than merely establish the beat and time for the song and other musical events as an accompanying instrument.Similar to jazz, which also became rhythmically more complex at this time through a real innovative revolution, the drums finally contributed significantly to the sound and the entire artistic expression in pop and rock", says drummer Norman Garschke.
"I wanted to limit myself for this pack mainly to the grooves of the many different genres of pop of this exciting decade. But when I finally got inspired by all the fantastic music of the 60s, it soon became clear to me that it would be impossible not to include some of the great grooves of the more unusual genres in the selection. This is exactly what made the music of the 1960s - the innovative fusion of various influences, from which something new and exciting emerged. "I think this way we've managed a special and extremely versatile pack, just in the spirit of the great'60s.
