Split von Oxi Instruments ist eine effiziente Möglichkeit die MIDI-Anschlüsse des ONE Sequenzers zu erweitern. Das kompakte Tool wird zunächst mit dem mitgelieferten Kabel am MIDI Ausgang des ONE Sequenzers angeschlossen. Der Hauptausgang 1 steht nun als normale MIDI-Buchse zur Verfügung, zudem gibt es zwei weitere MIDI-Ausgänge, die im TRS Format vorhanden sind. Eine Thru-Buchse ist ebenso vorhanden. Letztere ist in Setups nützlich, wo der ONE nicht der Master-Sequencer ist. Die drei Ausgänge sind im ONE als Port anwählbar und haben jeweils 16 MIDI-Kanäle.
I had forgotten to set my Oxi One to use the Split (accessed via the MIDI settings in Config), but once done, I was up and running in no time. The Split feels a little delicate (would have been nice made of aluminium at this price), but it is robust enough for most duties. I was able to route my MIDI cables more neatly using the additional outputs on the Split, which also meant using shorter cables. I purchased an additional TRS to 5 pin DIN as most of my equipment is DIN, which has been very useful. It's a great product and I can recommend it to any Oxi One users.
