The Godin Multiac Nylon Duet Ambiance at a glance
With the Godin Multiac Nylon Duet Ambiance, the Canadian manufacturer under Robert Godin presents an electro-acoustic nylon string guitar that convinces with its high-quality tonewoods, its solid Hardware and its sophisticated electronics. In addition, the flat neck can be grasped cleanly and obligingly in all positions, so that even solos and extensive tone sequences become child's play. A robust bag is included in the delivery.
Construction and woods
Thanks to a mahogany body equipped with two sound chambers, the Godin Multiac Duet Ambiance manages to produce sound with a fast response, so that every note is powerfully unfolded even with light strokes. A solid spruce top colors the sound with bright and clear frequencies, showing its potential, especially on Pickings and solos in the upper registers. At the same time, the flat mahogany neck guarantees optimal access to all 22 frets, which are set into a fingerboard made of Richlite that measures a slim 48 mm at the nut.
Design and Hardware
Chrome-plated classic tuners with a 16:1 ratio allow precise tuning of the 6 nylon strings, which intonate cleanly in all frets thanks to an interplay of a saddle and a nut made of GraphTech TUSQ. A gauzy high gloss finish refines the flat Multiac body and allows a deep insight into the even grain of the used woods.
Electronics
The heart of the Godin Multiac Nylon Duet Ambiance nylon string guitar is undoubtedly the in-house pickup system, which can reproduce a distinctly authentic sound with its extensive functions. The preamp includes a switch with which 4 microphone simulations can be switched through. Their signal can be mixed with the direct signal of the piezo pickup. Five sliders allow you to adjust the master volume, the treble, mid and bass frequencies and the crossfade between simulation and direct signal from the outside to the inside. With an additional phase switch, there is the possibility to eliminate feedback when activated.
