The five-string features a swamp ash body with a unique curly poplar top and a bolt-on maple neck in a comfortable "C" profile. Two Aguilar Alnico single coils and the active Mayones Musashi Nitōryū Preamp guarantee a particularly versatile sound spectrum with a cleanly articulated sound that also includes traditional passive sounds. Fine wood selection for the Mayones Jabba Custom
For the construction of the Mayones Mayones Jabba Custom CP 5 Natural High Gloss, carefully selected woods of the highest quality are naturally used, which skillfully support a lively sound with a clean output of each string. Accordingly, the E-Bass has a swamp ash body with a curly poplar top set off by a wenge veneer, while the six-bolt maple neck is fitted with a pau ferro fingerboard. The comfortable "C" neck profile and the flat 20" fingerboard radius (508 mm) also offer extremely maneuverable playing characteristics that make every groove come off with ease.
Two Alnico-V-proven Mayones Velvetrone single coils in combination with the active Mayones 3-band tone control promise a particularly versatile sound spectrum.
Aguilar pickups and active 3-band tone control
The pickups on the Mayones Jabba Custom CP 5 Natural High Gloss are two Mayones Velvetrone single-coil pickups. Equipped with Alnico V magnets and specially tuned coils, the pickups impress with a bright, cleanly articulated sound that also integrates the low B string powerfully and harmoniously into the sound. To further customize the sound, the active Mayones Musashi Nitōryū preamp is also on board, which provides EQ for bass and treble on a double potentiometer in addition to the mid-range control. The Equalizer can also be switched to passive mode using a mini-switch, whereby a separate treble control is available.
Five lightweight Hipshot Ultralite tuners not only counteract top-heaviness, but also guarantee stable and precise tuning.
Indestructible hardware equipment
Indestructible hardware equipment completes the Mayones Jabba Custom CP 5 Natural High Gloss. Accordingly, the Mayones Big Foot bridge is used, which thanks to its solid construction supports the Sustain and the even output of all strings, while its five string saddle guarantees optimum adjustment of intonation and string action. From the bridge, the strings are guided towards the headstock with a 34.25" scale length (870 mm), on which five lightweight Hipshot Ultralite tuners not only guarantee precise Tuning but also counteract top-heaviness. In addition, Schaller S-Locks hold the electric bass securely on the strap.
