Precise audio conversion and DSP processing

The Apollo x4 G2 Thunderbolt audio interface combines advanced audio technology with versatile features, offering a comprehensive solution for professional musicians, producers and sound engineers. Equipped with four Unison microphone preamps, it enables real-time recording of analogue sounds, whilst authentic emulations of legendary analogue gear such as Neve, Manley and API ensure precise sound reproduction. The quad-core DSP processing enables the use of UAD plug-ins in real time and supports even complex audio projects.

Thanks to improved 24-bit/192 kHz audio conversion, the Apollo x4 G2 delivers broadcast-quality audio during recording and playback. One of the key new features of the G2 is Apollo Monitor Correction, developed in collaboration with Sonarworks. This function enables the precise calibration of monitors and headphones to ensure accurate sound reproduction. Furthermore, the enhanced bass management ensures that subwoofers can be seamlessly integrated into the monitoring setup to precisely control the low-end range.

Another new feature is the Auto-Gain function, which allows for quick and easy adjustment of input levels. The UAD Console app has also been enhanced and now offers the ability to save plugin scenes and efficiently manage complex signal routing. The flexible combination of DSP processing and the host computer’s native processing power ensures that even large sessions can be handled with ease.

Flexible use thanks to extensive I/O options

The Apollo x4 G2 also offers a wide range of connections, enabling flexible integration into any studio setup. With four combo sockets (XLR / 6.35mm jack) featuring Unison microphone preamps and two Hi-Z instrument inputs on the front panel, it is perfectly suited for recording guitars, basses and microphones. In addition, there are two monitor outputs (6.35mm jack), four line outputs (6.35mm jack) and two TRS headphone outputs (6.35mm jack), allowing for flexible connection of studio monitors, headphones and other devices. The optical Toslink I/O supports ADAT or S/PDIF, allowing the use of additional digital inputs and outputs.

The interface is compatible with popular DAWs such as Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase and Ableton Live, and supports over 200 UAD DSP and Native plug-ins. This comprehensive plugin library includes renowned tools such as Capitol Chambers, Fairchild, Teletronix and many more, which can be used immediately after installation. Furthermore, the Apollo x4 integrates seamlessly into larger studio set-ups, as it is expandable and allows up to four Apollo Thunderbolt interfaces to be connected.
