Yamaha HS 4 white
The Yamaha HS 4 rounds off Yamaha's popular HS series with space-saving and easy-to-transport multifunctional speakers. Carefully selected components such as a powerful Class D amplifier and a heavy-duty MDF cabinet, combined with the 4.5" woofer driver and 1" soft dome tweeter, ensure that the HS 4s deliver true-to-life sound despite their small size. In addition, the HS 4s have a specially designed bass reflex port, which counteracts turbulence in the outflowing air thanks to its wavy structure and thus ensures a more defined and tighter bass range - the so-called "Twisted Flare Port" technology. With this technology, the HS 4 can produce a decent amount of bass for a 4-inch speaker and, at 83 Hz (@-3 dB), provide a bass foundation that is easy to work with.
The rear of the HS 4 is equipped with balanced XLR/TRS combo sockets, RCA inputs and a stereo mini jack socket to which a variety of professional and private devices such as computers, audio interfaces, mixers or electric instruments can be connected. As the most frequently used functions in everyday life, the power button, volume control and headphone socket are also easily accessible on the front of the left speaker.
The sound produced by loudspeakers is always influenced by the room conditions. For this reason, the rear of the HS 4 is equipped with the "Room Control" and "High Trim" functions, which allow the HS 4 to be individually adapted to the respective room situation. The range below 500 Hz can be lowered by -2 dB or -4 dB to reduce unnecessarily excessive bass. This can occur if speakers are positioned too close to a wall or even directly in the corner of a room. In addition, reflections from untreated walls can also cause rattling or harsh room reflections in the treble range, which can be attenuated with the " High Trim" and -2 dB. The " High Trim" also offers the option of boosting the range above 2 kHz, which can be helpful if the room sounds too "dead" due to excessively absorbent walls, a small room volume or other reasons and you would like a little more "glitter, glitter" in the upper frequency range.
