The Graph Tech PQL-5000-00 TUSQ XL Fender-Style Guitar Nut White is a Fender-style guitar nut, that is precision slotted, in white with dimensions of 42.93 x 3.26 x 5.08mm. The PQL-5000-00 is a perfect option to replace and upgrade the nut in almost all Fender style electric guitars. It will work in both a flat bottom or curved bottom nut slot due to it's ingenious design. It is pre-slotted to make for a quick and easy install.
The TUSQ XL is engineered from the same material as TUSQ and is impregnated with PTFE which is five times more slippery than graphite. It has all the tonal benefits of TUSQ, bringing out the hidden harmonics of your guitar all while drastically improving tuning performance. The TUSQ XL is consistent from piece to piece, and within each piece, to offer you harmonically rich tones without the problems associated with natural materials.

This is the 7th and with this one, all my guitars, excepting one that came out of the box with a very well cut Micarta nut, are now wearing a Graph Tech nut.
I have also installed several on friends axes.
I recommend this, specially if one does not know how to properly chose and cut a bone nut.
Pros: Easy to work with it. Resonance wise, it is very similar to bone. It is always larger, letting you to easily shape it to the right size. It ages beautifully. No string slide, clipping or jump. Very well cut it. Self and permanently lubricated. Lots of sustain. Adds brightness. Uniform and consistent in its totality. (bone is a natural material that might have porosities and inconsistencies) Made in canada.
Cons: Adds brightness (this can be a pro for some people and a con for other ones) It is a bit expensive.
Don't overlook your nuts guys. This enhances playability and tuning stability for a tenner. You might need to do a bit of fine tuning with sandpaper to size correctly but there's lots of help for that online
На новом Телекастере Vintage V52 стоял бракованный порожек — не удавалось настроить высоту 3 струны, чтобы она не дребезжала, а также остальные струны не удавалось опустить достаточно низко к грифу.
Этот порожек решил все проблемы — 3 струна больше не дребезжит, а высоту струн удалось отрегулировать так, как мне удобно.
Порожек прямо из упаковки встал почти идеально, пришлось только слегка обработать торцы шкуркой, чтобы они не выступали за пределы грифа.
Perfect replacement for a fender electric guitar. If the nut slot is flat you leave the small tab on the nut and if the nut slot has a radius you file the tab.
