The tonewood combination of the Ibanez AEWC12-PMF produces an expressive sound that is fully convincing for both solo playing and vocal accompaniment. Thus, the Sapele back and sides deliver a distinctly warm, mid-rich sound, which is complemented by the spruce top and brilliant highs. The necessary stability is provided by the solid top bracing in the form of the classic X-bracing, which has always proven its worth.
In addition to its outstanding sound, the instrument offers comfortable playability, which is ensured in particular by its slim AEWC body and a Nyatoh neck with Comfort Grip. In addition, off-set white dot inlays provide good orientation on the walnut fingerboard, while a cutaway allows unobstructed access to all 20 frets.
