An ideal combination of classic vintage Strat style and modern features, the Squier
As a modern player guitar, the Contemporary Stratocaster Special combines traditional Strat styling with contemporary playability. While the classic"Contour Body" shaping allows the poplar body to lie close with optimal balance, the Sculpted Neck Heel promises unhindered accessibility to the high registers. The silky Finish of the Roasted Maple neck and the pleasantly slim "C" profile with a flat 12" fingerboard radius (305 mm) also offer comfortable playing characteristics.
With three SQR Alnico single coils in an innovative configuration, the Contemporary Stratocaster Special elicits a wide variety of guitar sounds from the guitar amplifier, ranging from the enormously transparent sound of individual single coils to the juicy rock sound of the bridge and middle pickups combined into one humbucker. Last but not least, Squier equips the
It doesn't have the craftsmanship of a 2000€ custom shop guitar, but for the price that you pay, it's basically flawless.
No sharp fret-ends, the setup that came on the guitar was great, a tiny bit of fret-buzz around the middle of the 5th but not an issue when played through amp / DAW and the action was perfect.
No cosmetic flaws whatsoever, the Daphne blue looks gorgeous in person and i personally can't stop staring at this guitar.
Stays in tune really well even with vigorous tremolo usage and temperature changes thanks to the roasted maple neck.
There's no way i'd pay double the money for an entry level fender when this thing exists.
