The Gewa Allegro violin set is one of the most popular beginner sets for lessons among both violin teachers and aspiring violinists. The instrument in 4/4 size is aimed at young and adult violin beginners and is made of solid wood and high-quality components from Wittner and Aubert. Accordingly, all of the violin's add-on parts are made exclusively of fine ebony. In addition, the Set features a lightweight and highly playable carbon bow whose natural hair cover promises a constant tone from frog to tip. Last but not least, Gewa provides the Allegro violin set with a sturdy soft case including an accessory compartment and bow holder, which provides lasting protection for the instrument against shocks and weather conditions on the way to lessons or rehearsals.
The violin included in the Allegro set is composed of high-quality solid woods. While the back and sides are made of solid European maple, the top is also made of solid spruce to produce an amazingly resonant tone. Even the add-on parts in the form of chinrest, fingerboard and tuning pegs are made exclusively of ebony. For the easiest possible entry into the world of violin playing, an original and professionally dressed maple bridge from Aubert in Mirecourt, France is used, while four fine tuners from the traditional German manufacturer Wittner make tuning the instrument immensely easier. The violin is already set up ready to play at the factory and can be used directly for lessons.
A good violin naturally needs a bow that is easy to play. In the Allegro violin set, this bow is made of particularly lightweight carbon and impresses with its precise manufacture and good tonal response. Thanks to its uniform natural hair stringing, the violin bow produces a constant tone from the ebony frog to the tip and creates ideal conditions for learning correct bowing technique. In addition, the carbon bow has some interesting manufacturing details in the form of a frog made entirely of ebony with a Parisian eye, high-quality thumb leather and a nickel silver winding, which gives the bow an ideal weight distribution. This allows the bow to sit comfortably in the hand at all times and makes it ideal for advanced playing techniques.
The Gewa Allegro violin set comes with an additional soft case, especially for transport. This is designed to fit the shape of the violin precisely and, thanks to its stable core, effectively protects the instrument from knocks while on the move. For absolute weather resistance, the case has a water-repellent screw-on cover with full circumferential zippers to effectively shield the instrument from wind and weather. For easy transport, the case features two backpack straps that allow the violin to be carried on the back, while the exterior reflectors provide additional protection in traffic. Inside, the case features a soft lining that is gentle on the varnish, an accessory pocket for strings or rosin, and a bow holder mounted in the lid of the case.
