Was wary about purchasing such an expensive DAC but it was well worth it. Superb sound quality and fabulous headphone amplifier. Can now stream music in 24bit/96kHz mode.....Can't do 192kHz due to computer limitations bur will get a new one soon. This replaces my 10 year old Tascam DAC wich has served me well although only 24 bit/48kHz. RME is a great product but some reading of the manual is required to get the best out of its numerous facilities. Buy one!
great sound on default settinsg, simply packed with great features, has best in breed engineering functions built in DSP/EQ/diff Output levels on all interfaces, 5 band parametric eq, croosfield speaker sim for cans......great DAC if it be to listen to your music collection or an audio engineer.
first I'd like to thank Alessandro from the export team who was very professional and patient during my purchase. I received my adi-2 dac pretty fast with ups express . the unit overall impression is great (build, sound, practicality ). highly recommended experience and product , I will be buying more in the future from music store. thank you
I had a Chord Qutest playing flac files on my PC. The sound was excellent but I had a bit of an issue with regular pops and a ground loop buzz.
The build quality of the RME is very good indeed, with USB, coax and optical inputs, and RCA and balanced XLR outputs. The soundstage of the RME is wider but thinner than the qutest but the functionality and number of tweaks you can make on this device is simply astonishing. Overall, if I'm honest, the sound quality of the qutest (excluding the buzz and pops) just (and I mean just) pips the RME. However, the functionality and flexibility of this amazing RME DAC more than makes up for it and I am absolutely delighted with it. Delighted. Couple that with the excellent service from dv247 and you're onto a winner!
