Product information - Shakmat Modular Time Apprentice

Dual clock divider

The Shakmat Modular Time Apprentice is a compact clock divider in 1U design with two independent divider values. Thanks to clock and reset input the module always behaves synchronously to a clock generator like a sequencer or an appropriately equipped MIDI to CV/Gate interface. While Divider 1 generates even and odd values in the ratio 1:1 to /8, Divider 2 generates only the even values from 1:1 to /128 in a much wider range. If you operate the module at the square wave output of an oscillator, you get a flexible frequency divider or sub-oscillator that provides plenty of boost in the bass range. Four jumpers on the back provide further options regarding trigger and reset behavior and linking of both dividers.
