The Tama Starclassic Bubinga BG52ZUS-FBK is a set of five drum shells in sizes 22" Bass Drum, 10" and 12" Tom Toms and 14" and 16" Floor Toms. The 100% Bubinga shells are equipped with smoked black nickel hardware, which harmonizes perfectly with the matt flat black finish. The sound of the Starclassic Bubinga drums is extremely powerful, dark and full with aggressive attack, tailored for professional applications in the studio and on stage.

Sharp attack and full low end

All Drum Shells of the Starclassic Bubinga series are made of 9 layers of exotic wood, which gives the bass drum a wall thickness of 7 mm, while toms and floor toms are only 6 mm. Bubinga is 53% harder than maple or birch. This results in a very sharp and aggressive attack, combined with an incredibly rich and fat low end and the maximum low bass possible.

Shell hardware in smoked black nickel finish

The shell hardware in the form of lugs, cast iron hoops and star-cast tom suspension comes completely in smoked black nickel finish and gives the Starclassic Bubinga drums a noble and exclusive appearance. All hardware parts are backed with rubber padding to optimize the resonance behaviour of the wood shells.

Quick-Lock brackets for quick setup

Both the Star-Cast Tom holding system and the Floor Tom legs are equipped with Quick-Lock brackets, thanks to which the assembly of Toms or Floor Tom legs can be carried out in seconds. In addition, there is no need to use additional memory locks, as the Quick-Lock brackets store the settings once they have been made.

Air-padded Floor Tom feet for more sound and sustain

Further noteworthy features are the air-padded feet of the Floor Toms, which improve the resonance behaviour and give the drum more sound and sustain. Thanks to the Hold Tight washers, all drums remain tuning-stable. The drumheads come from Evans, Toms and Floor Toms are equipped with G2 and G1 heads The bass drum gets its powerful sound from a transparent EQ4 head.
