The limited edition Gretsch G5435 Electromatic Pro Jet Fairlane Blue offers classic penguin flair at an affordable price. The charming solid body is based on the classic construction with chambered Linde body and laminated maple top, while two Blacktop Filter'Tron humbuckers in true-to-original design are responsible for the sound conversion.
The basic construction of the Gretsch G5435 consists of a proven singlecut body made of hollow milled lime, which is finished with a curved top made of laminated maple and gives the instrument silhouette the traditional shaping. Thanks to its wide cut and no annoying neck foot, the glued-in maple neck can be played cleanly up to the highest positions of the rosewood fingerboard and, thanks to its strong profile, offers enough wood for the left hand.
With the Blacktop Filter'Trons, Gretsch sets in a true piece of history. The popular humbuckers with a narrow magnetic field were used in the sixties and seventies and got their name from the use of black HiLoTron housings. Both Seventies-style blacktops offer a slightly increased output and provide a versatile setup, from vintage sounds to turned up Brown sound. The typical Gretsch circuit with two separate volume controls as well as Master Volume and Master Tone allows the retrieval of versatile tones.
Last but not least, the Gretsch G5434 Electromatic Pro Jet Limited Edition offers the classic Gretsch hardware. On the body side, the strings are held at the authentic "V Stoptail" and are guided from there over a Gretsch Adjusto-Matic bridge, which guarantees a perfectly adjusted string position and intonation. In addition, elegant vintage style tuners on the slim headstock ensure precise tuning.
