With the BV1001T Veyron Tube Head, Bugera presents an elegantly styled bass amplifier, which comes up with real tube sounds and 2000 watts of power despite its compact format.
Three 12AX7 tubes are at work in the preamp of the compact bass top, giving the bass amp the typical harmonic overtone behavior and a clear sound. Separate controls for volume and gain also allow the transparent clean tone of the Veyron Tube to be increased to a warm overdrive. In addition, the bass amp is equipped with a studio-grade compressor that softens level peaks and extends sustain.
To adjust the bass sound, the BV1001T Veyron Tube has an elaborately designed 3-band EQ. The active mid control is driven by a tube and offers versatile possibilities for emphasising the character-giving frequencies with three selectable centre frequencies. The passive bass and treble controls, on the other hand, work according to the Baxandall concept in order to efficiently and musically influence the sound.
Thanks to the Class D power amplifier, the BV1001T head delivers up to 2000 watts of power. It has sufficient volume reserves for loud band rehearsals or gigs on the big stage. Speaker Twist connections ensure that the rich power of the bass amplifier safely reaches the bass speaker.
The balanced Direct Out also allows for direct pickup of the bass sound at gigs and in the recording studio, whereby the output level can be adjusted to the existing equipment. The Pre/Post Switch also switches the DI Out before or after the EQ of the Bugera BC1001T Veyron Tube Bass Amplifier.
That a relatively cheap amplifier can produce high quality sound coupled with stunning build quality! Who would ever thought that BUGERA could produce an exception bass amplifier that kicks ass and gives ‘boutique’ producers much to think about in terms of quality at such a low, low end price!
