This model combines an alder body with a maple neck including a speed neck profile, while the rosewood fingerboard provides a great feel. Instead of two humbuckers, a single Jackson J90-C humbucker is used in the bridge position, which was specially developed according to the original Jackson specifications of the 80s. The result is a brute, direct sound that is ideal for both rich rhythm work and aggressive leads. In combination with the 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard and the Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo, the SD1A offers perfect conditions for high-speed shredding, virtuoso bending and dynamic whammy effects.
