The MIDITECH MIDIFACE 8x8 is a powerful USB-MIDI interface with eight MIDI inputs and eight MIDI outputs. After simple installation, up to eight MIDI keyboards, controllers or other input devices as well as up to eight MIDI expanders or sound generators can be connected to the computer. All connected devices can then be conveniently managed and controlled via the DAW, making the MIDIFACE 8x8 a central interface for extensive MIDI setups in the studio.
Miditech MIDIFACE 8x8Mine came with a couple of missing LEDs. I needed it badly and didn't want to wait for a new one, so I didn't send it back, and it appears to be working fine.
What is nice about it is that there a no superfluous features. It does 8 INs, 8 OUTs, and that's it. No driver required. You can't get simpler.
The problem as some people told me, that you cant use 2 of these, since they share the same ID or something (The driver for some reason tells windows hey im 8x8 version of the Midiface) and if you plug in another, only one works. (This uses the windows driver ofc, no additional drivers are needed)
the others can be used 16x16, etc with this one.
Otherwise unpacked, connected and ready to use,
Conclusion: i wouldnt buy another one, but rather one of the Midifaces.
