PDP CM7 Kit from the Concept Maple series with Remo heads and STM mounts
The PDP Concept Maple CM7 Shell Set in Satin Black is a compact seven-piece drum kit inklusive n Remo heads. The shells are made from 100% maple and produce a warm, resonant sound that is suitable for many modern musical styles. High-quality shell hardware, such as True Pitch tuning screws, dual turret lugs and triple-flanged steel rims, completes the set. The Suspension Tom Mount (STM Mount) and the cast-alloy lugs for the bass drum meet professional standards. Fitted with Remo heads and a state-of-the-art FinishPly outer layer in a matt finish, the PDP Concept Maple series offers excellent professional features and a stylish look. A tom holder is included. The CM7 variant comes with a colour-coordinated, 10-ply snare drum. As with all PDP snares, the Concept Maple series also features the world-renowned DW Mag ThrowOff, an absolute highlight in this price range.
PDP Concept Maple: High-quality drum kit in CM7 configuration
The name ‘Concept Maple’ says it all: all shells are made entirely from maple and feature seven layers of wood. This is supported by another concept already familiar from DW: the Graduated Counter Hoops. Here, the diameter of the hoop is adapted to the shell size. In practical terms, this means that the thickness of the hoops is tailored to the respective shell size; smaller toms are therefore not unnecessarily constricted, whilst larger shells are fitted with the stronger hoops they need to focus the tone. Another concept adopted from the parent company DW is FinishPly. In this process, the outer drumhead is factored into the sound-defining shell construction, and the drumhead is grooved in the same way as the other layers of wood. As a result, the FinishPly outer layer gives the shells a more distinct and shorter sustain.
