The Shure MV7 microphone provides even inexperienced users with a high-quality sound that meets professional demands, but can also be used as a full-fledged recording microphone once demands and skills have increased. The special feature of this microphone is its hybrid configuration as a USB and XLR microphone: This means that the MV7 can be connected directly to the computer via USB, as well as being used in the classic way with a separate interface or mixing console. The MV7 is technically derived from the tried-and-tested SM7B, so there's no need to worry about pop noise or impact sound. Voice and vocals are always transmitted naturally, but with a certain good nature.
When operated as a USB microphone, the Shure MV7 offers the full range of adjustment options one might expect from such a setup: At its headphone output, it provides input signal completely and computer audio with almost no latency. The control of preamplification and headphone volume is done in the included software, whereby the gain control can also be automated, so that hard level peaks and distortions are avoided.
Shure's own Voice Isolation technology also removes unpleasant-sounding room components from the audio material, so that good-sounding recordings can be made even in an acoustically far from optimal living room without having to move the furniture.
Works brilliantly straight out of the box. Mic and stand very well built and look great. Good noise rejection outside the immediate front/close, which is what I was looking for. Very pleased.
