Product information - PRS SE Chris Robertson 2018 Fire Red Burst

Signature electric guitar with curly maple top and P90 and humbucker pickups, including gigbag

As guitarist and singer of the American hard rock band Black Stone Cherry, Chris Robertson has always swear by Paul Reed Smith's electric guitars to create his fat sound. With the PRS SE Chris Robertson 2018 Fire Red Burst, the Marylander guitar manufacturer is now tailoring a signature electric guitar that convinces with high-quality features and an excellent price/performance ratio. The Singlecut electric guitar from the PRS SE series offers a PRS 57/08 "S" humbucker and a PRS SE soapbar singlecoil for variable sounds in addition to the classic wooden combination.

PRS SE Chris Robertson 2018 Fire Red Burst Front

The PRS SE Chris Robertson was developed together with the Black Stone Cherry guitarist and is equipped with a PRS 57/08 humbucker on the bridge and a SE soapbar P-90 on the neck.

Singlecut construction with 24.5" scale length

For his PRS SE Christ Robertson Signature electric guitar, the Black Stone Cherry frontman wanted a classic singlecut design. Accordingly, the body and the glued neck of the instrument are made of mahogany, while the fretboard is made of rosewood. In combination with the maple top, this combination promises a powerful, mid-focused primary sound that is perfect for fat riffs and singing leads. The combination of a short 24.5" scale length and the strong "Wide Fat" neck profile, which lies in the hand with a good grip, makes the PRS Chris Robertson also pleasant to play on.

Versatile pickups for fat rock sounds

The Paul Reed Smith SE Chris Robertson Black Stone Cherry Burst is equipped with a PRS 57/08 "S" humbucker on the bridge and a PRS SE soapbar P90 on the neck. The humbucker delivers the classic Old School Tone of the early PAF humbuckers and uses classic ingredients such as spools wound with authentic wire from the 1950s. As a result, the pickup produces a warm sound with taut bass, present mids and silky highs that makes every riff and lick heard with high assertiveness and authentic vintage voice. The P90 on the neck, on the other hand, convinces with its lively sound, whose concise mid-range and high presence on both the clean and the tugging amplifier.

Adjustable Wrap Around Bridge and Optical Details

The PRS SE Chris Robertson Fire Red Burst also features the PRS Adjustable Wrap Around Stopbar, which combines the tonal advantages of a wrap around bridge with perfect adjustability of intonation and string position. At the headstock, the strings are based on the proven PRS SE die-cast mechanisms, which convince with their precise transmission ratio and high tuning stability. The characteristic PRS Bird inlays and the natural binding of the blanket also provide visual highlights.

Chris Robertson and Black Stone Cherry

The American hard rock band Black Stone Cherry was founded in 2001 in Edmonton, Kentucky by Chris Robertson (lead guitar, lead vocals) and his comrades-in-arms Ben Wells (rhythm guitar), Jon Lawhon (bass) and John Fred Young (drums). Since then the band has established themselves firmly in the hard rock scene through five studio albums and tireless tours and is one of the most successful New Comers of the recent past.
