The AKG DMS100 Instrumental Set is a digital wireless system set for musical instruments and presentations. The set consists of a wireless microphone and a pocket transmitter. The system is licence-free and fee-free worldwide as it operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. Thanks to uncompressed wireless transmission at 24 bit/48 kHz, the audio quality remains consistently high. To protect confidential content, the signal is encrypted during transmission to prevent eavesdropping.
Both instruments and microphones can be connected to the pocket transmitter. A connection cable for guitar or bass is included in the scope of delivery. The transmitter has a battery life of up to 12 hours, using just 2 AA batteries. The battery status of the pocket transmitter is displayed on both the receiver and the transmitter.
The DMS100 system is very easy to use. An available frequency is automatically detected and set. To ensure that the radio transmission is not disrupted by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices, the receiver switches the radio frequency as soon as any interference is detected. To ensure reliable transmission, the receiver is fitted with two internal antennas. Up to four DMS100 systems can be operated in parallel.
A rack-mounting kit (RMU-40) is available as an option. To ensure trouble-free operation, the distance between the transmitter and receiver should not exceed 30 m.
