More sound variety for your Eurorack
Brains from Behringer is a digital oscillator with 20 different synthesis models. This makes Brains an extremely versatile module that is equally suitable for creating a "small beginner's system" as well as for expansion for advanced users. Each model has four directly accessible parameters and can be controlled via a total of seven control voltage inputs plus Gate. The sound generation selected with Bank and Model is displayed in the LED chain, the OLED display shows the waveform and available sub-functions. The module has two audio outputs, the first outputs the main signal, the second a variant such as a sub-oscillator, alternative sound (other cowbell) and combinations of the selected model. As the bank and model can also be controlled via CV, the entire module can be automated, not to mention a guarantee for varied sounds.

This module IMO is excellent value - a superb palette of sounds with with well chosen controls. It seems much more user friendly than the similar Plaits module which I owned before.
A versatile digital oscillator that offers many different layout options and more than a typical traditional oscillator. My favorites are SuperSaw, Karplus Strong. In addition, VCA/(LPG) which is also a nice addition. If the purpose of use is to make music, then you could say that finding the right tune is also significantly easier than with a free-rolling oscillator. The basic sound is good. 4 stars because you have to make it really perfect, so I would give it 5. So 4 is a good number.
